Control Center
The Control Center is your real-time command hub for managing all aspects of your WhookTown city.
Overview
The Control Center provides three tabs for different aspects of city control:
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Buildings | Manage building states and groups |
| Camera Path | Create and control camera flyover paths |
| Traffic | Configure vehicle traffic density and speed |
Layout Selection
At the top of the Control Center, a dropdown lets you select which layout to control. If you have multiple layouts, switch between them here.
No layout?
If you see "No layout found", you need to create one first in the Map Builder.
Connected Scenes
The Camera Path tab shows all connected 3D scene viewers. Each scene displays:
- Scene ID - Unique identifier (e.g., "Scene-927422")
- Mode - Current camera mode (Orbit/FPS/Flyover)
- Heartbeat - Last communication timestamp
- Stale indicator - Warning if no heartbeat for >60 seconds
- Controls - Flyover toggle, speed slider, path selector
Scene Heartbeat Monitoring
The system tracks real-time connectivity:
- Scenes send heartbeats every few seconds
- If no heartbeat received for 60+ seconds, the scene is marked as potentially disconnected
- This helps identify viewers that may have lost connection or closed their browser
Real-Time Updates
Changes made in the Control Center are broadcast immediately to:
- All connected 3D scenes
- Other users viewing the same layout
- WebSocket-connected applications
Stop Camera Button
A floating red Stop Camera button appears in the bottom-right corner when a camera animation is playing. Click it to immediately stop all camera movements.
